Here are some other ways you can work for the abolition of all nuclear weapons

You can also help by taking immediate steps to support the Treaty and by engaging your elected officials to support legislation that would reduce the threat of nuclear war, and support communities harmed by the US nuclear weapons industry. Here are some important steps you can take.

JOIN A LOCAL PEACE GROUP

Join a campaign or peace organization near you – and start campaigning! We recommend connecting with your local peace & justice group or the following national peace organizations that may have chapters operating in a city or town near you.

SUPPORT AFFECTED COMMUNITIES

Support the victims of the nuclear age and help clean up the environmental mess caused by uranium mining, weapons production, nuclear tests and accident.

SUPPORT AND ORGANIZE DIRECT ACTION CAMPAIGNS

Organize a demonstration outside of one of the companies or banks profiting off of nuclear weapons production. Toolkits from Don’t Bank on the Bomb, Code Pink’s Divest From the War Machine, and the NuclearBan.US resource page can help as you organize.

Join or support the Stop Banking the Bomb Campaign (SBTB). They are campaigning to get PNC Bank to divest the $600,000,000 they currently have invested in nuclear weapons companies.

Support activists like the KingsBay Ploughshares who are facing federal charges and serious jail time because of their anti-nuclear advocacy.
