Timmon Wallis and Vicki Elson will present their campaign and the Quaker Concern that underpins it at Storrs Meeting ’11th Hour’ this Sunday.
Timmon Wallis and Vicki Elson are attenders at Northampton Friends Meeting and have a travelling minute from Northampton in support of their concern. Northampton Friends have discerned their strong commitment to the 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and took the decision to comply with the Treaty by moving their bank account and informing Honeywell that they would not be using Honeywell to replace their thermostat.
Connecticut Valley Quarter has asked all Meetings in the Quarter to consider how they respond to this new Treaty and has asked for it to be put on the agenda of New England Yearly Meeting.
