General Dynamics spent over $12 million in lobbying in 2023, according to GD maintains 78 lobbyists in Washington and among other issues, these lobbyists focus on the budget and appropriations bills for the Department of Defense. Through its General Dynamics Corp PAC, GD has so far spent over $650,000 on the re-election campaigns of 191 Members of Congress and 28 Senators in 2024.

Government connections on the GD Board include James N. Mattis, who served as Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defence.166 Rudy F. deLeon also served as deputy Secretary of Defense in 2000- 2001. Admiral Cecil Haney (Ret.), also on the GD board, used to be responsible for the U.S. nuclear arsenal in his role as Commander of USSTRATCOM

Nuclear weapons work:

  • Provides a range of engineering, development, and production activities to support US and UK Trident II Strategic Weapons Systems.
